Terms of Use
Effective 26 May 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of AuraPlay at auraplay.space and the installable Progressive Web App built from it (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
AuraPlay is an independent, non-commercial project. References to “AuraPlay”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean the individual maintainers operating the project under the AuraPlay name. You can reach us at contact2save@gmail.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using AuraPlay you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in the country where you reside.
3. What the Service does
AuraPlay reads your local weather (with your permission, or from a city you type) and suggests music that matches the conditions. It surfaces tracks from third-party music sources including YouTube, Jamendo, and Audius, and plays them back inside the app. AuraPlay does not host any music itself.
4. Accounts
The Service works without an account. Creating one is optional and, if offered, is provided through Supabase. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity under your account. Please notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, API quotas, authentication, or any other technical restriction, including those of the third-party services AuraPlay integrates with.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service or its upstream providers in bulk.
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract embedded API keys or credentials.
- Use the Service to distribute malware, harassing content, or content that infringes copyright or other rights.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks connected to it.
6. Third-party content and services
AuraPlay surfaces and plays content from third parties including OpenWeatherMap, Last.fm, YouTube (operated by Google LLC), Jamendo, and Audius. Your use of that content is also subject to the terms and policies of those providers. AuraPlay does not own or control third-party content and is not responsible for its accuracy, legality, availability, or licensing status. If a track or video is removed, restricted, or geo-blocked by the upstream provider, the Service may be unable to play it.
7. Weather information is informational only
Weather data shown in the Service is supplied by OpenWeatherMap for informational and entertainment purposes only. It is not a forecast or an authoritative source. Do not rely on it for safety-critical decisions, travel planning, or any situation where accurate weather information is important.
8. Intellectual property
The AuraPlay name, logo, copy, and visual design are the property of their respective owners. Music, weather data, and other content delivered through the Service remain the property of the original rightsholders. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use third-party marks or content beyond personal, non-commercial listening through the Service as designed.
9. Service availability and changes
AuraPlay is offered free of charge and on a best-effort basis. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without notice. The Service depends on third-party APIs that have their own rate limits and availability; we may also serve cached or degraded results when those upstream services are unavailable.
10. No warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all such warranties.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AuraPlay and its maintainers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. The Service is provided to you free of charge; you accept the corresponding limits on our liability.
12. Your responsibility
You agree to use the Service responsibly and to be solely responsible for your conduct and any content you submit through the Service (for example, feedback or account information). You agree to indemnify AuraPlay and its maintainers against any claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are misusing the Service in a way that may harm AuraPlay, its maintainers, its users, or its upstream providers. You can stop using the Service at any time; if you have an account, you can ask us to delete it by emailing us.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted in the app for a reasonable period. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, except where mandatory local law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
